Here's a picture of Charlie and Dinero running in the ring. Dinero is the lighter colored Appaloosa. He has a big personality and comes running across the field when he's called. Charlie is a Quarter Horse who is very sweet. Come and meet them at the Horse Show on March 31 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

I'm looking forward to the H.O.R.S.E. Horse Show on March 31 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Why not join us? The farm is located at 43 Wilbur Road in Washington, CT. It's a great chance to see all of the beautiful horses who have been rescued and rehabilitated. Each and every one is truly a miracle. It began as a great volunteer opportunity for me and an active and engaged learning experience for my students . And now I've fallen in love...with Cooper. I am happy to announce that I have been approved to adopt Cooper! I still have a lot to learn but I am so excited.

Yesterday my students and I visited the H.O.R.S.E. farm. It was fantastic to see the students interacting with the horses. Each student has chosen a horse to write about this semester and yesterday they were able to meet their horses in person. Very shortly, students will be writing here about their experiences. Welcome to the new blog for HORSE of Connecticut, an organization that has been helping suffering horses for over 30 years. To date, more than 650 horses have been rescued. I am a new volunteer who will be working with my advertising and public relations class at Sacred Heart University to help this organization continue the great work it has done so far.
